Mick Vanvossen Commits to Michigan State University
Forest Hills Central Senior Mick Vanvossen has accepted a scholarship offer from head coach Jake Boss to play for the MSU Spartans in the fall of 2011. Mick is a pitcher/outfielder and is considered one of the top pitching prospects in the state of Michigan for 2011. Congrats Mick and good luck!

Congratulations to Carter DeBoe, a senior from Hamilton as well as a player on our 18U team coached by Jim Abbott! Carter will be playing for Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, a Division I program that competes in the Summit League. Congrats Carter, and Good Luck!

Players need to bring a bat, glove, cleats...if they're a catcher, bring catchers equipment, and any other equipment they may need

Forest Hills Central pitcher Zach French commits to Eastern Kentucky
Left handed pitcher Zach French of Forest Hills Central HS has accepted a scholarship offer to play for the Division 1 Eastern Kentucky Colonels and head coach Jason Stien. Zach has been a long time member of the Elite Baseball program and his father Steve has been a long time coach and supporter of our program. Congrats Zach and good luck!

Chris Lewis Approaches the All-Time Hit Record at WMU !!!
Chris Lewis, a senior at Western Michigan University, is just 3 hits shy of breaking the all-time record for career hits at the school.Lewis is one of the top players to come out of Forest Hills Central.

Elite's Dylan VanPutten hits 2 - 2 run home runs!!!!
Catholic Central jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first inning. But, with a strong wind blowing straight out to center field, the stage was set for an interesting game. In the second inning, the Trojans scored 5 runs including a 2 run homer by sophomore Dylan VanPutten which put Trojans out front 6-5. Pitcher Jake McCarty pitched a star-like game from then on. The Trojans continued to put runs on the board including another 2-run home run by VanPutten. Trojans won 13-7! Congrats Dylan!!!!
Current Professional pitchers Andy VanHekken and Rudy Darrow work out at Elite Baseball all winter
Current professional baseball pitchers Andy VanHekken, formerly a big league hurler for the Detroit Tigers and now with the Houston Astros and Rudy Darrow of the Atlanta Braves have been working with Coach Mike Paul in his Core Strength Training program and throwing bullpen sessions throughout the winter. VanHekken of Holland and Holland High School, hopes to join the Astros big league club after finishing up in AAA last season. Darrow, of Oklahoma and a former West Michgan Whitecap, hopes to crack the Bigs this year with the Braves after finishing up with the AA squad last year. Good luck guys, we will be rooting for you and following your progress!
Morley High School Catcher Tyler Huntey commits to CMU
Morley High School catcher Tyler Huntey has accepted a scholarship offer from head coach Steve Jaska to play baseball for the Central Michigan Chippewa's in the fall of 2010. Tyler has trained with Coach Bryan Baar and the Elite staff and we are proud of his opportunity to play at the Division 1 level. Keep up the hard work Tyler and good luck this spring!

Jenison's Dan Taylor Arizona Diamondbacks minor league pitcher of the month for August!!!
Jenison HIgh School/Central Michigan University grad Dan Taylor has been named the Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher of the month for August of 2009. An Elite student since he was 9 years old, Dan was drafted out of CMU this past June and posted an outstanding campaign for the Yakima Bears of the Northwest League. Congratulations Dan from your Elite friends on a great start to your professional career! Keep up the hard work!
Zeeland 10u Little League State Championship team filled with Elite players/students!!!
The 2009 Zeeland Williamsport Little League 10u State Championship team was filled with Elite students and players. Coby Curtiss, Zach DeWitt, Matt Vandyken, Derek Jacobs, Brady Twentyman, and Chase Medendorp all have trained with the Elite Baseball staff or have played on an Elite Travel team in the past 2 years. Joe Rennick was the manager with Trent TerHaar and Steve DeWitt serving as coaches. Congratulations boys on an awesome tournament run and for making the Zeeland area and the Elite Baseball Staff proud of your efforts! Keep up the hard work!
Grandville Little League Junior State Softball Champions filled with Elite players/coaches!!!
The Grandville Little League Junior State Softball Champions team was filled with players that train/play at Elite Softball and was also coached by several Elite program coaches.
Jessica Dood, Kelli Eddie, Jasmine Garza, Abby Green, Michal Hoogland, Ellie Maczinski, Renee Palmer and Ally Vandermeer are all Elite Softball players/students that played on the championship team. The team was coached by Rob Eddie, Dave Vandermeer and Don Green, current Elite Softball coaches. Congratulations Girls and to the Grandville Little League for making the Grand Rapids area and the Elite Softball program proud of your performance! Great job!!!
