Lydia Goble
Director of Softball
Lydia played Softball at GVSU for 5 years, while also working at Elite during her time in the Grand Rapids area. As the director of softball, Lydia brings a selfless spirit and warm heart to leading Elite. Her passion for the sport and helping others shines through in her skilled guidance of players. Her exceptional skills, athleticism, and competitive drive have allowed her to dominate both the playing and business sides of this sport. Her compassion while playing and now while teaching ensures no player ever feels left behind. Win or lose, she truly wants the girls to enjoy playing the game they love.
MIKO RODRIGUEZ
Director of Strength & Conditioning / Co-Director of Baseball
Miko is Elite's Director of strength and conditioning and our Co-Director of baseball. Although he is in a demanding role, his passion for developing pro, college, and youth athletes has shone through. His commitment to excellence inspires confidence in our young athletes while also welcoming them into the world of hard work and determination. He has dedicated himself to continuous learning so he can nurture their skills, health and wellbeing. He never shies away when faced with adversity and his leadership and selfless spirit help to guide this company in the right direction.
JUSTINE JAGER
Front Desk Manager
Justine has been with Elite for 3 years now and is in the role of General Manager. She is the first face you will see when you walk into our facility. Her determination and commitment to this organization are evident in her quality of work and the positive impact she has on our team. She has a daily goal of making each person that comes through our doors feel better than when they arrived and her dedication to that goal shines in every interaction she has! We are blessed to have someone so genuine caring about us each day.
CHRIS WEGRZYN
CO-DIRECTOR OF BASEBALL
Chris has been with Elite for 6 years now and is the Co-Director of baseball, a professional trainer, and manages the upkeep of our facility. Along with being one of our most popular baseball trainers, Chris consistently goes out of his way to assist anyone who comes into our facility. He is always willing to sacrifice his own time to make Elite a better place. His determination and selflessness help to keep our facility running smoothly.
MICHELLE BRANDER METIVA
Professional Trainer / Administrative Assistant
As the founder of this company, Michelle is someone who leads us with compassion. She has created an environment of care for our customers, our staff, and the communities we serve. She approaches every day with positivity and thoughtfulness and because of that we have a well-run and dedicated team that has a constant goal of improvement. Michelle is also one of our most popular professional trainers on the softball side. She once dominated this sport as a player and is now continuing to dominate it as a trainer and collegiate coach.
DAVE JOPPIE
SENIOR BASEBALL ADVISOR/ PROFESSIONAL HITTING INSTRUCTOR
Dave has been with Elite since 1999 and has become one of our most popular hitting instructors. Dave spent 25 years in professional baseball working in the Oakland A’s (1995-2005), Boston Red Sox (2006-2015) and Milwaukee Brewers (2017-2020) as a Manager and Hitting Instructor rising as high as the “AAA” level. He is our senior baseball advisor and has shown how deeply dedicated to the game he is. Dave has devoted many years to mastering his craft and the firm, yet intentional approach brings out the best in our Elite athletes.
Kelsey Ameiss
RETAIL ASSISTANT
Kelsey has been working for Elite for 6 years. She played and graduated from GVSU where she developed her passion for the game of softball. It brings her joy to make someone's day a little brighter through thoughtful customer service. She loves to take on new challenges and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Kelsey is also a professional trainer at Elite where she is constantly teaching and passing on her passion to each client she meets. She is dedicated to making Elite a better place and making herself the best trainer possible.
